This is one of my Wedge Cups made on my jigger jolly machine. It is made from industrial porcelain, and finished with my Midnight Blue glaze.
The wedge shape was one of the first shapes I developed during the start of my practice with the jigger jolly machine. I worked a lot on the proportions of this cup, and it was originally designed as a drinking vessel, but some people have used them to bake or plant a small plant in.
The Metallic Strawberry glaze breaks and foams with a slight lustrous sheen in places.
The stamp of a transformer in cobalt is my makers mark for this range of work, and is a symbol of the industrial materials, processes, and workflow, as well as the transformation process of ceramics.
I’ve developed this range of work to be used in the kitchen and dining room. It is meant to elevate and bring added consideration to the eating and drinking experience.
