Photography from the Cave

I wanted to show some of the photography I’ve been doing in the last year. I was gifted an enlarger to develop black and white in the spring of last year. I put together a show of photographs from my friends perspectives of the neighbourhood for our last Fringe exhibition. This year I wanted to explore some more abstraction through photography, and project my focus of what I want to use the darkroom for.

The title is a reference to Plato’s Allegory of the Cave, and my own subterranean darkroom. There are a collection of pinhole photographs, as well as some prints from around Leith, and further afield.
